With all of these floods, there are many environmental affects. If the water floods through a landfill then all of the garbage in that landfill is washed into the river, polluting it. Also, if the water floods a mechanic's garage, it will pick up liquids like oil and gasoline and bring them back into the river. This will affects marine life like fish and aquatic plants when they come in contact with the oil or gasoline it will harm them and may kill them.
