Money, Safety, Destroyed By Water

Familys in Manitoba are faced with the biggest flood in 300 years. Brandon has declared "state of emergency," the flood way in winnipeg, has gone from a creek, to what looks like a lake, and people are franticly scrambling to make sandbags, and build dikes. But how does this really affect families? Well, children can go to the park anymore because parks, have turned into pools. Some families are even being evacuated from their homes. If a flood takes over a house, there is a good chance that you can't just go back when its done and continue living the way you were. Families may lose everything! For example, once a house has been flooded then drys out, mould can start to grow. In which case the family would have to re-locate, or tear the house down and re-build. Another thing to look at would be the children in these families. When theres a flood, there is deep water, deep water, means a danger of children drowning! And children drowning is the worst thing that these floods can possibly do. I cant even imagine what families going through health, and economic issues are feeling at this point!
