Flood Money........!

               1 million here, couple thousand there. How can people agree to throwing away this big of a sum every year just to keep their land the driest they can.The water didn't just start rising, it continues to. More and more and more damage. Its ridiculous the money spent on an annual flood that Manitoban's seem to be oblivious to. i can understand why they would stay. Housing, farms, their lifestyles, originality but personally do you think its worth the risk to you financial well- being. This flood isn't just any flood. It turns crops into lakes, houses into shells and people into corpses. Yet we try and try every year to prevent, stop and further abrupt the water flow. It will never stop. "Since the 1997 deluge, more than $1 billion has been spent to improve Manitoba's flood protection." An this year alone they are planning to spend 22 million for newer and better equipment for years to come. More and more of their money and it is always going to flood. I find it frustrating to be WASTING government money on something that does this much damage, damage that they pay for as well. The flood is something that i believe is unfeasible to fix and is hurting our economy all at once!
